TabTrade.com - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail matters. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That should be a good addition once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
